Emo pioneers The Get Up Kids have officially announced their first new album in eight years along with the first tune off the record.

Titled Problems, the new album will arrive May 10th via Polyvinyl and was produced by Peter Katis who also teamed up with the band for 2002’s On A Wire. The first track from the forthcoming record titled “Satellite” can be heard below (and it’s a ripper).

I started writing ‘Satellite’ about my son who’s 14 and a total introvert—not antisocial, he just genuinely likes to keep to himself,” the band’s guitarist/vocalist Matt Pryor said in a statement via Pitchfork. “But then somewhere down the line I started singing about myself—about how even when you’re playing a show to a room full of people, I can still feel anxious and isolated.
