Julien Baker has been hard at work with her new indie-rock supergroup, boygenius, consisting of Lucy Dacus, Phoebe Bridgers, and herself. All three artists have proven themselves to be powerful singular forces in the genre. They have bonded immensely in the past year and as what started as creating a collaborative single to promote their month-long tour in Europe, ended up being the creation of boygenius. The name of the group itself represents the common-held idea of speaking their minds despite being under different creative pressure as women in their early twenties.
