Your holiday shopping just got a whole lot easier thanks to Record Store Day‘s annual Black Friday event.
Starting November 29, independent record stores will release exclusive vinyls only available during the annual promotion. Below is a list of all the Ernie Ball family of artists participating in the Black Friday festivities. Find your participating local record store venue here.
Eric Clapton
The English rock and blues guitarist Eric Clapton is helping us get in the holiday spirit with his 12″ vinyl release. The record will feature “Home For The Holidays” and Clapton’s original “For Love On Christmas Day,” both off his 2018 Christmas album, Happy Xmas.
I had in my head that these holiday songs could be done with a slight blues tinge, and I started to figure out how to play the blues lines in between the vocals.

Clapton co-produced Happy Xmas alongside Simon Climie, with the guitarist also contributing the hand-drawn album cover featuring Clapton dressed as Santa Claus. Can’t wait until Black Friday? Listen to the full record here.
Paul McCartney
The former Beatles bassist Paul McCartney announced he’ll be releasing two never-before-heard tracks for this year’s Black Friday event. The exclusive double-A side will include tracks “Home Tonight” and “In A Hurry,” both of which were recorded during sessions for his 2018 album, Egypt Station.
The exclusive vinyl will be sold as a 7″ picture disc featuring album artwork based on the old-time parlor game “Exquisite Corpse.”
Slipknot
The song whose lyrics gave their newest album its name (but doesn’t actually appear on it) gets its first physical US release on a special picture 7″ disc. Slipknot‘s exclusive RSD release will include the new track “All Out Life” and “Unsainted” from their latest August release, We Are Not Your Kind.
Albert Hammond, Jr.
The Strokes guitarist Albert Hammond, Jr. is slated to release a mash-up LP titled Off Cycle. The 10″ vinyl will include two tracks from Hammond’s 2019 solo work. “More to Life” will be featured on the A-side with “Fast Time” accompanying on the B-side.
Jenny Lewis
Las Vegas native Jenny Lewis will release a never-before-heard version of “Rabbit Hole,” as well as a cover of Bob Dylan’s classic “Standing In The Door Way.” The LP’s artwork is an ode to Lewis’ “Heads Gonna Roll” music video while it’s title, On the iPhone, is a play off her 2019 release, On the Line.
Fu Manchu
At The Dojo Records is releasing Fu Manchu’s complete explosive performance at the 2003 edition of the Roadburn Festival Netherlands on limited edition LP and CD. The band recently unearthed the original professional recordings taken directly from the soundboard and had them specifically mastered for this release. The record includes classics “Squash That Fly,” “Hell On Wheels,” “Boogie Van” and “King Of The Road.”
