Post Hardcore quartet Amity Affliction has a dedicated fanbase from relentless touring and putting on a highly energetic live show. After a couple of lineup changes, the band reached deeper for their sixth record Misery, to make the band’s first ever conceptual effort. Featuring a dark narrative of three friends seeking revenge, Amity Affliction has garnered over 800,000 monthly listeners around the world on Spotify alone. Youth and vulnerability find solace in the sound of alt band Beach Slang. Blending punk’s attitude with a pop sensibility, there is something satisfying about the emotional release the band gives with their signature running bass lines and riffing guitar parts. Recently Beach Slang released their record album titled, Everything Matters But No One Is Listening (Quiet Slang) featuring beautiful orchestral arrangements of songs from their first two records. Get Dead!:

 

Representing the Bay Area and NOFX’s label Fat Wreck Chords is the band Get Dead! They take an Irish folk stripped-down sound and blend it with gritty punk attitude. The five-piece band writes music about political awareness, they raise fists in true rebellious spirits, and continuously push themselves on their latest record, Honesty Lives Elsewhere. Get Dead’s die-hard spirit helped the band spread their ideas over the course of several months. Working with talented friends and label-mates who helped them complete their latest record, including members of Lagwagon, toyGuitar and Old Man Markley. Plus, as with their previous album, 2013’s Bad News, the band enlisted NOFX’s Fat Mike to assist with production and songwriting. Alvarez Kings:

 

Powerpop synth indie band from South Yorkshire, U.K. are the Alvarez Kings. Quietly building an international buzz since their formation in 2012, the band has made it’s way to the states for several tours including the Vans Warped Tour in 2013 and 2015. Alvarez Kings found themselves being featured on several playlists on streaming services, garnering positive reviews from Billboard, BBC, and Huffington Post. The band’s latest full-length release, Somewhere Between on Warner Bros. features the official single “Sleepwalking, Pt II” which you can watch the music video for above.
