The Long Island based indie rocker, Oso Oso, released his third full-length album, Basking in the Glow, last Friday. Also known as Jade Lilitri, he has been involved in the music scene since 2012 with his currently inactive band, State Lines. Since their hiatus announced in 2015, Oso Oso has been going strong, dropping one critically acclaimed album after the other.

This was one of the first times I was just writing, not trying to pull from other works — books and fiction — which I usually do a lot. I [used to] make up characters and stuff like that. This feels like a very present commentary on my life. For sure, I’m in a relationship — very much so in love.

His third, Basking in the Glow, shows the maturity that has developed in Lilitri’s songwriting; combined with the irresistible innocence of indie rock and punk, the album yields some of the fullest work under Oso Oso to date.

You can catch the album live in concert by checking out Oso Oso‘s tour dates on their official website.

To get his sound, Jade Lilitri sticks with Ernie Ball Power Slinkys.
