The 2019 Grammy Awards took place on Sunday, February 10th on CBS at the iconic Staples Center in Los Angeles. The Grammy awards represent 84 different musical categories, with Ernie Ball artists receiving esteemed nominations and awards. St. Vincent

St. Vincent walked away with 2 Grammy awards for the evening including, Best Rock Song and Best Recording Package. Watch as Annie Clark and Jack Antonoff (songwriters of St. Vincent) accept their award for Best Rock Song.

 

St. Vincent and Dua Lipa put on an unforgettable performance medley last night. Spot Annie rocking her all-new Ernie Ball x St. Vincent strap (available in 2019) and her Ernie Ball Music Man signature St. Vincent guitar. The duo performed the night’s Best Rock Song and Best Recording Package winner for “Masseduction” as well as, a rendition of “Respect” by Aretha Franklin. Buddy Guy

Buddy Guy was awarded Best Traditional Blues Album for his record, “The Blues is Alive and Well”. Buddy Guy uses Ernie Ball Power Slinky and Regular Slinky strings. Watch his acceptance speech from last night’s show.

Leon Bridges

Ernie Ball’er Leon Bridges went home with the award for Best Traditional R&B Performance for his track, “Bet Ain’t Worth the Hand” off of his album Good Thing. Leon Bridges plays Ernie Ball Regular Slinky and Power Slinky strings.

 

 

Chris Cornell

Chris Cornell’s daughter, Toni, and son, Christopher, paid tribute to their late father on Sunday while accepting his award for Best Rock Performance for the song “When Bad Does Good.” Chris Cornell’s son Christopher shared,

He is a rock icon, the godfather of grunge and the creator of a movement, whose contribution to music history made a lasting impact across genres and generations. He was also one of the greatest poets of his time, whose soaring, unforgettable vocals made him the voice of a generation.
