BIG K.O.

Get To Know:

Kareem Denis, aka BIG K.O., has been carving out his own space in the guitar scene since 1986 after being inspired to pick up a guitar thanks to Run DMC’s genre-bending songs like “Walk the Way” and “Tougher Than Leather.” Blending together that inspiration, and players like Leslie West, Eddie Martinez, Freddie Stone (Sly and The Family Stone), and Randy Rhoads, and you get BIG K.O.
Since then, BIG K.O. has become not only an in-demand player but producer for acts like 50 Cent, D12, Jim Jones, and even performing and producing Darryl D.M.C. McDaniels.
BIG K.O. is now the stage guitarist for DMC as well as has a project titled King DMC which released their first single this past November titled “Ghetto Metal,” blending hardcore hip-hop and heavy metal with a twist of funk.
