The Strokes — the band that brought garage rock to the new millennium with Is This It? — have had fans eagerly anticipating a new album since 2013.

The Strokes have been slowly teasing new tracks at their concerts, including “The Adults Are Talking” at a charity event and “Ode To The Mets” at their New Year’s Eve show. The official release date for their sixth album, titled The New Abnormal, was unveiled at their concert this past Monday, February 10th.

Yeah, we’ve got a new album coming out soon. 2020, here we come. The 2010s, whatever the f*ck they’re called, we took ‘em off. And now we’ve been unfrozen and we’re back.

The leading single for the album, “At The Door,” has a synth-driven sound that parallels Julian Casablancas’ work as The Voidz. You can check out the official video for the track down below.

The other cuts from The New Abnormal that The Strokes have leaked live have a more traditional sound, coming closer to their work on Is This It? than anything else. If you just can’t wait to hear the new songs, try to catch them live and hear them early by grabbing tickets on their official website.
