The Desert Trip Festival, AKA “Oldchella,” kicks off its second weekend this evening. The event, held at the Empire Polo Club in Coachella, CA (where our factory just so happens to be located), features sets from such legendary acts as The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, Roger Waters and The Who.

With a roster of performers as high caliber as Desert Trip has, some of the best players on the planet are playing back to back each night of the event’s two weekends. What’s more, of the six acts performing throughout the festival, three of them include members who play Ernie Ball strings. Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones, Pete Townshend of The Who and Paul McCartney have all relied on Slinky strings for decades to complete their legendary sound.

Take a look at Sir Paul himself below, performing Can’t Buy Me Love during the first weekend of the festival.

The second weekend of the festival kicks off tonight with performances by The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan. Are you going to be there? If not, enjoy some of the best tracks by all the Ernie Ball artists performing at the event with this special Spotify playlist.
