Cane Hill
New Orleans based metalcore band, Cane Hill blend nu-metal with post-hardcore giving a punishing sound that has resonated with their fanbase. The band’s newest record — Kill The Sun — is set to be released today on Rise Records. After much anticipation, the band’s latest singles have showcased a new mature sound, shining light on their diverse influence of hip-hop and indie rock, with more obvious significance coming from Slipknot and Pantera. Cane Hill’s single “No Escort” is a peek through the keyhole of their sound. Check out the official video above and stream the new record below.

Jacky Bestak
Germany based singer/songwriter Jacky Bastek is more than just a talented guitarist, she composes with her fingerstyle playing and enchants listeners with her haunting voice. Inspired by Mike Dawes, Jacky studied fingerstyle and began posting video’s online. In 2016, she released her debut record titled Idylls using crowdfunding. Watch her video to see her original song “No Exit” above which garnered several million views on social media in the first couple of weeks of posting it.

Enter Shikari
UK alternative metal outfit, Enter Shikari, has been creating a buzz since the release of their first single “Mothership.” In 2007 the group entered the UK charts and dropped their EP Sorry You’re Not a Winner/OK Time for Plan B, which was featured in EA Sports video game soundtracks for Madden 08 and NHL 08. The band released several albums for years to come, known for their unique mix of electronic music with heavy rock. Enter Shikari have not only created a strong fan base playing festivals like Vans Warped Tour and Slamdunk Fest, but have ventured into the business side as well, owning their own label titled Ambush Reality with major label distribution deals. The band’s most recent album is titled The Spark. They will continue on their 28 date long UK tour called the Stop The Clocks Tour with Milk Teeth to end 2018 and extend into the new year.

Basement
What do you get when you mix 90’s D.I.Y angst with melodic hardcore that has been influenced by punk? Basement. The English band released their debut record titled I Wish I Could Stay Here on Run for Cover Records, a year after forming. In the same year, Basement released their Sophmore album Colourmeinkindness, and toured the United States before announcing an indefinite hiatus. Not losing momentum with new fans discovering their music, the band regrouped in 2014 to release an EP titled Further Sky. After their third album on Run for Cover in 2017, Basement inked a deal with the American punk record label Fueled for Ramen. Passafire
Passafire was formed in Savannah, Georgia by Ted Browne and Nick Kubley, who formed a strong reputation with the reggae scene while touring tirelessly alongside fellow bandmates Mike DeGuzman and Will Kubley. Bowne says he doesn’t mind the busy calendar stating:
Touring is the best way to keep the buzz about the band going. What keeps it fun and exciting is the people we get to meet and the places we get to see..”
Passafires’ latest release Longshot was positively received by a wide audience, followed by a Live In Atlanta release, that captures the band’s musicianship in a great performance. Check out the official music video for the title track “Longshot” above.
