The folk-rock powerhouse, The Lumineers, have plans to take 2020 by storm with their new album, III — set to release September 13. The new release looks to be something of a concept album that tells the story of family and addiction. In true Lumineers fashion, they adorn these rather bleak themes with their signature upbeat jangle (as heard on their hit, “Ho Hey“). If the singles that have already released are any indication, the hauntingly beautiful album should fit perfectly into The Lumineers discography.

This collection of songs worked out in a beautiful way, and I feel with this album we’ve really hit our stride.

In order to support the album, they have also scheduled a North American tour in 2020, headlining alongside fellow Ernie Ball artist, Mt. Joy. The full schedule and tickets are available on their official website.

If you want to check out the album so far, The Lumineers have an ongoing music video that spans all 10 songs on the albums. Check out the most recent video for the track “The Leader of the Landslide” below.

Strings

The Lumineers capture their sound with Ernie Ball Power Slinky strings on guitar and Regular Slinky Flatwound strings on bass.
