Steve Vai recently posted the Official Music Video for, “Dark Matter.” The song was originally released in Vai’s 2016 record, Modern Primitive. The music video is extremely unique and features an otherworldly theme of crazy landscapes and even crazier guitar licks, typical of Vai. In the description of the video, Steve writes,
The idea was to create an alien type landscape where each band member was filmed at a different speed and then brought together in various shots. I had to learn the song backwards! This left me knowing the future for a few days after the shoot, and I discovered all is well.
Steve Vai has a number of shows coming up. First, he will be playing with the Alabama Symphony Orchestra in Birmingham, Alabama. From there, he will be heading on a tour with the supergroup known as Generation Axe, that consists of Vai, Tosin Abasi, Nuno Bettencourt, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Zac Wylde. The tour consists of 32 dates around the United States and takes place over November and December of 2018. Check out their website for more information on purchasing tickets.
