Tropicália Festival was back and bigger than ever for its third year Nov. 9 and 10 in Los Angeles, CA. Organized by festival giant Goldenvoice in collaboration with local news outlet L.A. Taco, Tropicália has solidified itself as a yearly event that celebrates music and culture within Southern California.
The two-day event is expertly curated and boasts a diverse lineup that highlights Latin Alternative music alongside countless California-bred acts. The festival has sold out year after year, and due to high demand for its 2019 run, Goldenvoice relocated the grounds to accommodate its massive audience.
What sets Tropicália apart is that multiple age groups can attend and learn something or experience new music that was released last week, or 30-plus years ago. We strive to transcend the generational gap and hope to continue to evolve in this way.
Nic Adler, regional festival organizer for Goldenvoice.
The weekend featured Latin big-hitters Los Tigres Del Norte, Kali Uchis, and Cuco, mixed with electrifying rock and heavy punk acts The Garden, Fidlar and The Buttertones. Plus, the Pomona Fairplex was scattered with some of LA’s most notable taco trucks. What more could you ask for?
