The Sir Paul McCartney has released a reissue of his 1997 album, Flaming Pie. It’s also his 13th installment in his Grammy Award-winning ‘Archive Collection’.
Set for release on July 31, Flaming Pie was co-produced by fellow Ernie Ball artist ELO’s Jeff Lyne, the late George Martin and McCartney himself. This special re-release of Flaming Pie will be available in a 5xCD/2xDVD/4xLP Collector’s Edition, a 5xCD/2xDVD Deluxe Edition, and 3xLP, 2xLP and 2xCD editions. Pre-orders of the album reissue are now live.
To announce the album, Paul published the below post on Instagram featuring one of his Ernie Ball Music Man custom guitars from the early 90’s. The image of Paul holding his Music Man is featured on the cover of the Collector’s Edition Box and is also featured inside.
Fun Fact: In the early 1990s, Paul McCartney received several Ernie Ball Music Man guitars made for him and his fellow guitarist Robbie Mcintosh. Paul’s EBMM Silhouette guitars were outfitted with custom pickups and one left-handed version featured a beautiful maple body and stylish white binding. Another custom left-handed red Axis guitar was also commissioned for stage use on the “Off the Ground” World Tour in 1993.
Paul has been a staple Ernie Ball ambassador since the early 90’s and has been playing our Regular Slinky electric guitar strings since the beginning. For his 1997 tour, Ernie Ball made Paul his custom Flaming Pie logo picks, and one of these picks is included within the Collector’s Edition Box.
