All summer long, we’re hitting the road with a handful of touring artists and using our All Access pass to give you a behind-the-scenes look at each unique venue, atmosphere, and overall performance. This week, we caught up with reggae-rock outfit Passafire in San Luis Obispo, CA. Check out some of our favorite moments from the show below
Forming in 2003, the Georgia-based group has built a strong reputation within the reggae scene. Although — unlike their fellow musicians in the genre — their sound transcends passed the niche category, as they pull influence from hip-hop, alternative, and progressive rock. Their most recent release, Longshot, is a testament to themselves as musicians. While being told that “making it as a musician is a longshot,” their rigorous touring and consistent fan base continues to show the band’s drive as artists.
Passafire treated fans with tracks from their 2017 release, while continuing the night’s momentum with their popular, older tracks “Submersible” and “Ghost Man.” Their high-energy performance and lively stage presence made for the perfect summer show. Catch them on their remaining US tour dates here.
