After a seven year hiatus from performing, Angels & Airwaves returned to the scene this week with the release of their latest single “Rebel Girl.” While this pop punk love song is readily available on all streaming services, the band is giving fans their first chance to see them perform live since 2012. Their last release, an EP titled Chasing Shadows, was released in 2016. With the release of “Rebel Girl,” Angels & Airwaves announced a 2019 North America tour with over 20 shows hitting almost 20 states. Tickets go on sale Friday, May 3.

Tom DeLonge, blink-182 founder and former guitarist, formed Angels & Airwaves back in 2005 to start what he described as “a revolution to change the face of rock & roll forever.” DeLonge has been recognized as one of alternative rock’s most influential guitarists and songwriters, with an undeniably identifiable tone. The long-time Ernie Ball player shared his musical and personal journey on our AT&T Original Series “Ernie Ball: The Pursuit of Tone” back in 2016. Check out his writing process for Angels & Airwaves’ transformative hit “The Adventure” below, and check out his entire series here.
